Chris was elected to the South Dakota Senate in 2024 and the House of Representatives in 2016 - 2022. He is currently serving his 1st term as a Senator for District 11. Chris was elected by the Senate Chamber to serve as the President Pro Tempore. The President Pro Tempore oversees the operational aspects of the Senate, including: Committee appointments, Bill Assignments, Representing the Chamber in formal conversations with the House of Representatives, Executive Branch, etc...
